Major Albany campus upgrade underway for specialist trades workshops

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

Training Minister Simone McGurk with Rebecca Stephens MLA Member for Albany toured the campus construction site of the $22.17 million trades workshops last Wednesday.

The  state-of-the-art workshops will be used by traditional trades such as heavy and light auto, metals fabrication and electrical and plumbing, and have new classrooms that will replicate on the job working environments.

They will replace the ageing 50-year-old trade facilities and provide modern, industry-relevant training

Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2024.
