Scholarships

South Regional TAFE sincerely thanks our generous sponsors whose valuable assistance encourages participation in training for students.  

Applications for the following scholarships have now closed:

Jack Family Charitable Trust Scholarship

Sponsored by the Jack Family Charitable Trust

20 x $500 Scholarships for students studying full time at the following campuses: Albany, Katanning, Mount Barker, Denmark

Applications have now closed, successful applicants will be notified by 17 March 2023.

 

Western Power Corporation Scholarship

 

Up to ten Scholarships for students studying the Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) (Electrotechnology Pre-Apprenticeship) course full time in Semester 1, 2023.  

The scholarship will cover the full cost of the course fees.

Applications have now closed, successful applicants will be notified by 17 March 2023.

 

     

    Destination Australia Scholarships

    Applications for the next round of Destination Australia Scholarships have now closed.

    If you win a scholarship for your studies at South Regional TAFE you will receive $7,500 per semester to assist with your training costs.  Applications have now closed.  Successful applicants will be notified by 6 April 2023.

    South Regional TAFE is focused on providing our students with a great learning experience, with staff who are passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential. 


    Eligible Students 
    • Australian residents and citizens enrolled full-time in an eligible course 
    • International students that have accepted a full-time offer of study in an eligible course. 

    Courses available 

    A list of eligible courses is listed on the application form. 

    Eligible students that commence full-time study in the eligible Certificate IV and Diploma courses, begininning thier course in  Semester 1, 2023 are able to apply.

    • Albany                 2 Scholarships for a course with a duration of 2 Semesters
    • Bunbury              3 Scholarships for courses with a duration of 3 Semesters
    • Bunbury              1 Scholarship for a course with a duration of 2 Semesters 
    • Manjimup           1 Scholarship for a course with a duration of 2 Semesters 
    • Narrogin              1 Scholarship for a course with a duration of 3 Semesters 

    Students enrolled to study part-time are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Speak to your local Regional Campus Manager or Student Services at Bunbury or Albany if you are unsure.

    Destination Australia Scholarships are funded by the Commonwealth Government and are designed to attract and support students who choose to live and study in a regional location.

    Bursary for International Students

    TAFE International Western Australia are currently offering bursaries of AUD$5,000 to study, work, and live in regional Western Australia.

    Applications are now open for students starting February or July, 2023 and 2024.

     Terms and Conditions for all scholarship applications:  
    • Scholarships are not available to South Regional TAFE employees, their immediate families or associates.  
    • Selection panel decisions cannot be appealed and no correspondence concerning decisions will be entered into.  
    • The scholarship is not transferable and is for Semester 1 2023.  
    • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
