Services and Facilities
There are three computer rooms on campus for students.
There are black and white printers available for student use in both computer rooms. Colour printing and photocopying is available in the administration building.
The South Regional TAFE Library and Information Services manage access to training resources across the region to assist you meet your academic goals.
Library services are available to all current South Regional TAFE students and staff. Although the library’s main collections are based at the Bunbury and Albany campuses, all enrolled students and staff members of South Regional TAFE are eligible to request any of the resources from the online catalogue, regardless of location. You can access the Library Website here.

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in the accounting industry, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries.
You will have the skills and knowledge to prepare and lodge business and instalment activity statements, and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities. Units studied include both MYOB and Payroll. This qualification would also suit candidates wishing to work towards BAS agent registration (Refer to Tax Practitioners Board for current requirements).

Chainsaw Skill Set

This course covers the process of maintaining, preparing and operating hand-held chainsaws in a work environment.
These skills can be transferred to the homestead, are useful for home gardners and could lead to employment in parks and gardens or landscaping.
You will gain skills and knowledge in understanding the correct type of chainsaw for a particular task, how to use the chainsaw, maintain the chainsaw and store suitable personal protective equipment.
You will also carry out routine checks and maintenance on a chainsaw, apply appropriate chainsaw techniques, cutting methods according to manufacturer’s specifications and documented low risk work procedures; assess and minimise environmental impacts of chainsaw use; maintain records of chainsaw training and certification, risk assessment and use.
