Training support available for Collie Workforce Transitions

Personalised help and expert advice from South Regional TAFE and Jobs and Skill Centre is available to affected workers to help them develop training plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Workers will receive practical, tailored assistance to support their decision making and transition into training and new jobs.

 

Based locally at SR TAFE’s Jobs and Skill Centre Collie, Training Transition Consultants will work at an employer location to provide a coordinated service.

Jobs and Skill Centre services are also available from the Transition team. Services include Career advice and assistance, and Job matching and placement.

  • Create a skills development plan
  • Help to enrol you into appropriate training

 

Future Skills Requirements

Provide relevant information on the knowledge, skills and competencies required to fulfill some roles identified as being in demand in the region.

 

Assess your current skills

Identify and be accredited for your existing knowledge and skills and competencies through recognition of prior learning, verification of competence, third party evidence and observations.

Skills gap analysis

A skills gap analysis helps you identify your training needs. It shows where you currently stand in terms of skills and knowledge and where you’d like them to be in the future, allowing you to set career development and training goals. You will be provided with individual support to work through this process.

 

Skills development plan

A plan of the training activities that you will need to undertake to develop your skills and knowledge through available courses and skillsets at SR TAFE or other training providers. This plan will assist you to target your training goals towards specific job outcomes.

How to access training support

There will be assistance provided to individuals on a case management basis at a site near you. A Training Transition Consultant will support you to meet your individual goals.
